Jamaican Ska tribute to the Netherlands, original numberHere we go with our first tune in Dutch! This song was originally in Italian, it was written by Francesco Bottai and Enrico Cioccolini Gotink and performed by one of the most interesting ska bands of the peninsula, La Ghenga. The original title was “Il Mare” (the sea), and the song was about a lifestyle based on the feeling of freedom that only the sea can give. In this version, whose text is written by our precious Freek Volkers, we celebrate freedom as well. We are from The Netherlands. The land of Maas and Waal. Het land van ons allemaal (the land of all of us).
